The Proteaceae have an amazing variety of beautiful genera, but I'm particularly intrigued by the various species of Leucospermum The inflorescence of this genus reminds me of fireworks exploding in a dark sky. This one was photographed at Kirstenbosch Botanical Garden in Cape Town, South Africa on October 14, 2010.
