Today was a task day at Kirstenbosch - sorting maps, making phone calls and trying to organize next week's work. In between those times, I took a short walk through the garden and saw some more birds and other critters. The most interesting find was the Spotted Eagle Owl. I was walking along a shady path and saw a birder with a digiscope. He showed me the owl. Pretty Cool.

Here's a view of Cape Town from up on the slope at Kirstenbosch Botanical Garden.

Here's looking at you, babe.

Why don't you come up and see me sometime?

No? Maybe some other time then. Whooooooo.

A different kind of spotted critter. The upper wings are completely translucent.
