Progress pics on latest project

I've been working on a very complicated and challenging carved hollow form. Here's a video clip showing the carving on one of the last of the interior leaf surfaces. There are 18 leaves to carve on this hollow form that was 10 X 7.5 inches when I turned it. The wall thickness was 1 - 1.3 inches initially.

Progress pics are posted on my FaceBook page.

Isn't it hard going to work and keeping your concentration on your task at hand when your mind is wanting to return to your carving station?

And worse, when your writing grants and suddenly you get an idea for your carving project and can't find the time to do a quick sketch. Or if you do get a chance to make a few notes, when you return to your studio, you can't make sense of your notes!!!!

Ah, the life of a schizophrenic artist.
