A break from the light painting series. This is a late afternoon photo from Glacier Ridge Metro Park. Shooting directly into the sun is always a challenge and I found it particularly so with my Tokina 11-16 mm lens. This wide-angle lens is pretty good, optically, but there are more issues with chromatic aberrations and light streaks than I have with my Canon L series lenses.
Technical problems aside, the image conveys the wintery scene very nicely. Love the contrast between the frozen look of the water and the warmth of the sunlight. Very nice.
